Enterprise Blows Them Away!

Enterprise Liverpool now prepares and delivers an annual leaf collection program.

The cyclical program created jointly with the Neighborhood Environmental Services focuses its attention to those streets with a large tree population and lasts 14 weeks in total, and operates from October to the end of December.

Operatives are deployed specifically to leaf clearance operating specialist machinery to make the clean up more efficient.

The operation is organised on a 3 phased strategy with operatives being detailed to specific residential areas, main gateway and corridor routes including grassed central reservations with colleagues from neighbourhood grounds .

The results have been encouraging year on year the amount of leaves collected has gone up with leaves being collected more efficiently the chances of them blocking highway drains causing flooding hot spots is dramatically reduced

In addition the volume of enquiries relating to leaf fall has dropped by over 50% from 472 to 201 the lowest for some years.
